European Certification in Epileptology for Medical Doctors
Transitional Rules for Certification
Epileptologists who have received full-time training at a centre which belongs to the Educational Network, and are still active in the field of epilepsy can have this training acknowledged as part of their curriculum for certification as a European epileptologist.
- This applies to full-time training both in the core curriculum and in electives as listed in the curriculum.
- Requirements to obtain this acknowledgement are:
- Application letter with curriculum vitae
- Documentation of present activity in the field of epilepsy
- Letter of recommendation from mentor or previous teacher or national ILAE chapter
- Confirmation of the training time, dates and fields by the Centre's Director
- (or Director of Education).
- These documents will be assessed by the EUREPA Executive Board, who decides whether they are accepted.
- The applicant will then be informed about the decision.
All additional requirements of the EUREPA Curriculum need to be fulfilled before certification can be granted.
These rules apply to training received during the existence of EUREPA, i.e. since September 1, 1996.
