Information on the accreditation of courses by Eurepa
A guide for course organizers
Courses to be accredited need to fulfill certain requirements, summarized in our 'rules for educational courses'.
- The programme needs to be submitted to and approved by the Academy. If it is an industry-sponsored course, the promotional part of the programme must be clearly identified.
- The course can only be accredited when participation is open to everybody.
- There must be a procedure of evaluating the outcome. Aims and evaluation procedure must be clearly explained.
The evaluation form must include the following question:
“Was this course too promotional for any pharmaceutical product or company? Yes/No.
If yes, please provide details: "
- The organiser must be a Eurepa member.
- In the team of trainers, at least one must be a certified Eurepa trainer.
- The educational material (videos, books, brochures etc.) used must be Eurepa - approved.
For accreditation, the
online application form for accredited courses has to be filled in and sent in to the Eurepa office at
office@epilepsy-academy.org, along with the
final program of the course including a time schedule.
The application form and the program need to be sent to the office at least 5 weeks before the course.
Exemplary evaluation forms can be found by clicking
here or in the document center of this website. You can adapt these forms to your specific needs, as long as the question regarding pharmaceutical company involvement is included.
The results of the evaluations should be sent in to the Eurepa office within six weeks of the course. If the results are not sent in, later accreditation request may be refused due to this omission.
