Presently there is no fixed date for a next PanEuropean (English-speaking) Trainer course in Europe. The last trainer course took place in Malta in November of 2008.
The national ILAE chapters are asked to nominate candidates for a trainer course, one cannot apply for them. It is the ambition and objective of EUREPA and the national chapters to have an adequate number of EUREPA trainers per country. In practice this means that priority is given to countries with a low number of trainers.
An important emphasis in trainer courses is the use and practice of a range of different teaching methods for the transmission of epileptological knowledge according to a given target group, topic and goals. To ensure optimal working conditions and results, the number of participants in each course is restricted to only up to 18 - 20.
More information on the role of EUREPA trainers and who they are is available in the EUREPA trainers area of this site.
Information on Trainer courses organized by the Francophone and the Lusophone Sections can also be found in the Francophone and Lusophone Section area of this site.
