Announcement / Reminder for the  MICHAEL PRIZE  2009

For the best contribution to scientific and clinical research which promotes further development in epileptology.

The MICHAEL PRIZE is one of the most highly regarded international awards for the best contribution to scientific and clinical research promoting further developments in epileptology; it is awarded biennually and especially designed to attract younger scientists ( under 45 years of age ).  The prize money is 15.000 Euros.
Publications which have appeared in 2007 / 2008 or papers of the same period and not yet published will be considered.
Language:            English 
Deadline: Publications and papers, together with a curriculum vitae and a photo, should be submitted in triplicate to   STIFTUNG MICHAEL  until December 31, 2008, latest.
Since 2006 the MICHAEL PRIZE is sponsored by UCB International.

AES, along with several other funding organizations, maintains a web site listing epilepsy research funding opportunities. The Epilepsy Resource <http://epilepsyresearchresource.org/>  link has information on upcoming deadlines, eligibility criteria, links to more information and samples of funded programs. Participating organizations are AES, CURE, Epilepsy Foundation, Epilepsy Therapy Development Project, NINDS, FACES, The Milken Family Foundation, PACE, and the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance. Please share this valuable resource with your colleagues.
