Welcome to the
European Epilepsy Academy
The European Epilepsy Academy, being a part of the European structure of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE), is an association which aims to improve epileptological knowledge and consequently the quality of care throughout Europe by
- building up a network of coordinated, certified epileptological educational activities throughout Europe
- offering and developing e-learning courses via our internet platform Virtual Epilepsy Academy VIREPA
- conducting trainer courses with multinational participation to ensure quality epileptological education in many European languages and countries
- by initiating and coordinating projects and research on matters relating to epilepsy which are particularily suited for supranational European action, i.e. EURAP, MOSES, famoses, HCPs etc.

2nd Baltic Sea Summer School on Epilepsy, Aug. 31 - Sept. 4, 2008, in Tune, Denmark.
Deadline for applications has passed.
The new ILAE - VIREPA distance learning courses "EEG in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy" and "Neuroimaging" will start with an introductory meeting for participants during the 8th ECE in Berlin, on Sunday, September 21st, from 9 - 12 hrs. Topics will be i.e. overviews on the courses given by their directors, the e-learning platform and the discussion of distance learning strategies.
